[edit] History

The settlement pre-dates the First Blight and was constructed in dedication to the Paragon "Heidrun the Deep", the remains of whom are buried beneath a statue at the center of the thaig. Before it fell to ruin it was used as a lyrium mining location. Itt was brought to destruction when it was overrun by "creatures that wore the faces of the dead." This intervention gave cause for the King to intervene, sending in his troops.

Centuries later, long after it had fallen into disrepair, the Legion of the Dead would often visit the thaig. On one such visit they encountered a Rock Wraith in an old mining shaft. On another visit they found the former prison of an Archdemon below Heidrun Turning, littered with the corpses of darkspawn who had given themselves praying to their God.
