[edit] Plot

Explore the legendary Deep Roads, but ensure that you come prepared. A perilous journey awaits underground, where vast, darkspawn-infested caverns will challenge the Inquisition like never before.

Following the Battle of Haven, tremors began to shake the Storm Coast. The earthquakes were causing various lyrium mines to collapse, threatning the Inquisition's supply and threatening the dwarves of Orzammer. With their own supply of Lyrium under threat, the Inquisition look in to the cause of the Earthquakes at a recently opened fissure at the Storm Coast where they meet a Shaper called Valta, and a lieutenant in the Legion of the Dead, Renn. Valta has a theory that there is an intelligence behind the quakes, believing that a long forgotten race known as a Titan is the root cause. Valta believes that should they be able to locate the titan they will be able to put a stop to the tremors. Renn remains skeptical about the existance of titan's, but ultimately believes they need to find the source.

The further the Inquisition, Renn, and Valta move in to the Deep Roads, they find more information pertaining to the Titans and eventually find themselves in a location outside the Deep Roads where they are attacked by a mysterious and hostile group of Dwarves called the Sha-Brytol. Moving deeper down the caverns they uncover an entire cavern that is full of veins of untapped Lyrium. The cavern is so large that is contains its own ecosystem and a turbulent sea. Evidence of a whole civilisation also exists, with large stalagmites connected to one another by bridges and building littering the entire cavern.

Evidence of the Titan has been etched in to rock walls in lyrium, similar to the memories of Orzammer, each detailing more of the Titan and the Sha-Brytol, however once the cavern is reached there is still no sight of the titan. The Inquisition group come to the realisation that since encountering the Sha-Brytol, they have been following a path that felt very different to the environment the Deep Roads and come to the conclusion the reason for that, and the reason for not finding the body of the titan, is because they were within the titan.
